If you are a beer lover and you happen to be around the Monterey, Calif., area on June 9, you definitely will want to sign up for the Monterey Beer Festival.
It runs 12:30-5 p.m. at the Monterey County Fairgrounds and will feature hundreds of beers from more than 80 breweries around the world. The event also will include live music throughout the day and a variety of food vendors.
Tickets are reasonably priced -- $40 for the main event and $60 for the VIP event. The VIP event includes snacks and an early private tasting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..
