Tulsa set a few weather milestones these past few days, so immediately, the question is: "Is it is a record?"

First, the milestones:

On Sunday, Tulsa had 1.01 inches of rain, which was the first time since Nov. 8 of last year that Tulsa had more than 1 inch of rain in a single day. And our daily high today, which will be in the 80s, will be the highest temperature in Tulsa since Oct. 24 of last year.

Today, as of 4 p.m., Tulsa's high temperature was 83 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Alas, neither milestone set a record for Tulsa.

Our highest daily rainfall for March 11 was 1.97 inches, set back in 1935. The most rain in a single day in March? 3.25 inches, set on March 21, 1921. Most daily rainfall records are in the high 1s range, although some top 2 inches. The lowest daily record is 1.16 inches on March 5, 1933.

Our highest temperature ever on March 13 was 92 degrees. Tulsa's highest temperature ever in March was 99 degrees, set back in 1907. Most daily high records are in the 90s for March, although there are a few in the 80s (82 on March 3, 1955 is the lowest one).

However, still exciting news and a sign that the seasons are changing. More rain and more warm temperatures? Hard to complain.
