What's new on Friday, April 10:
"Hannah Montana: The Movie": Your kids love her on Disney Channel, now you can pay to see her on the big screen. Expect Friday's early shows to be busy, as many of the little ones are out of school for Good Friday.
"Observe and Report": Seth Rogen plays mall cop, but in an R-rated comedy that also stars Anna Faris.
"Dragonball Evolution": Based on the video game sensation.
"The Ten Commandments": Thou shalt consider attending the Easter favorite as part of AMC Southroads 20's classics series.
"Two Lovers": A bittersweet romantic drama that is best known at this time as the final film of Joaquin Phoenix. Time will tell if that claim holds true.

What's new at the discount house on Friday:
"Coraline" in a 2-D version and "Hotel for Dogs," at both Movies 8 and Supersaver Cinema.
Movies 8 also debuts "Paul Blart: Mall Cop."

What's leaving on Thursday:
"Taxi Driver" from AMC's "classics," and "Wendy and Lucy" from Circle Cinema; "The Reader" and "Inkheart" from the Movies 8 dollar cinema.

Just to let you know Dragonball is actually a Manga/Anime series (Japanese comics/ cartoon). Their merchandising just happens to include videogames based on the series.
A majority of fans have already stated that Evolutions is bad (since it already came out in Japan), and not just from the badly done job of transfering characters and story over to the movie.

I See Movies for Free

“I was born a poor, black child” … not me, actually, but Steve Martin’s character in the “The Jerk.” That absurd opening line is just one of the absurd number of film facts, quotes and minutiae contained in movie critic Michael Smith’s brain, at his disposal to toss out on a moment’s notice. It’s a key requirement as Tulsa World film critic to know these things. Michael learned a few other life facts along the way (seven years as a Crystal’s Pizza & Spaghetti manager) before attempting journalism and joining the Tulsa World in 1996, where he’s covered everything from a school shooting in Fort Gibson to a tornado in Stroud to witnessing an execution. A little community theater coverage was sprinkled in there, too. Movies engender many of his happiest memories, from standing in line for “Star Wars” and “Grease” at the Southroads Cinema to the James Bond and Pink Panther movies that always premiered at the enormous Continental Theater.
