Give me a break. They should call it what it is: A legitimate reason for NBC to broadcast women running around in bikinis.
When I was a younger man, some friends and I developed our own sport on Labor Day weekend. We called it beer badminton, or perhaps it was beerminton. The memories of that weekend are a bit blurred.
One of the rules seemed to be that you had to have a beer in your hand to play. I think you also had to have a badminton racquet. Another rule was that if you accidentally knocked over anyone's beer in the course of the game, you lost either a point or the game or your right to play. Again, something's blurring my memory.
But, I promise I'll get my friends together and we'll codify all the rules if NBC can arrange to get us a gold medal. We'll even wear swimsuits.
