NOM, NOM, NOM: You don't have a snow-cone's chance in ... Downtown?

A rainbow snow cone from Josh's Sno Shack at 91st and Memorial. Think Josh would consider a downtown location? Somebody ask him ...

Why don't we have a snow-cone stand downtown? Or do we, and I've totally missed it?

During a text convo with my dear friend Kimilicious, we bemoaned the fact that downtown is lacking in snow-cone stands -- not a one, as far as we can tell. Here's the official transcript:

Kimilicious: "... You know what downtown needs? A snow cone stand. Random I know. But we could meet and have a snow cone and all would be better in the world."

Me: "I agree. That sounds like a fabulous Facebook post. May I incriminate you?"

I chose blog over Facebook, sorry; but it's still a cool idea. Where would we put one? I mean to say, where would someone with money and interest in doing such a thing put one?

And what would your favorite snow-cone flavors be? Let me know in case someone with money and a passion for snow cones calls me. Someone hot and single, preferably ...

Peace, love and snow cones' chances ... XOXO

If only SOMEONE in Tulsa would invest in a SnoWizard machine and start selling New Orleans style snowballs....

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
