New Brookside restaurant oui3 now open for lunch and dinner

Oui3, Ouida Merrifield's new Brookside restaurant in the Consortium, 3509 S. Peoria Av., recently added a lunch menu to complement its dinner offerings.
Among the items on the lunch menu in the upscale eatery are chicken paillard open-face sandwich; grilled shrimp, fire-roasted corn and heirloom cherry tomatoes; chiffonade of local kale with bacon and poached egg; chilled cantaloupe soup with ice wine and mint; and BLT with grilled green tomato and agave-glazed bacon.
Lunch items range from $7 to $15. Just as with the dinner menu, Merrifield said the offerings may change depending on the availability of fresh ingredients.
Entrees we sampled during a recent dinner outing included grilled Colorado lamb chops with blue cheese minted butter, agave-glazed wild line-caught salmon, char-grilled tenderloin, and egg noodles with grilled jumbo shrimp and heirloom cherry tomatoes.
