Wayne Coyne said the psychedelic rock act will release its double album, "
Embryonic," in September.
The exclusive BBC interview quotes Coyne as saying he has a "love/hate" relationship with music writing. “You have to work on it you have to really immerse yourself in it and be obsessed and shape it.
“I think it must be like being a cook in the kitchen you’re preparing this great thing but by the time it's ready you’re sick of it because you’ve been smelling it, you’ve got it in your hair and in your fingers and all that.”
The Oklahoma City band's tune, "Do You Realize," from the 2002 album "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots," was recently named the official Oklahoma rock song. Their last studio album, "At War with the Mystics" was released in 2006.
