Take Heart Tulsa, a new dating service that provides events and excursions specifically for single professionals, is hosting a kick-off event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Urban Campground, 209 S. Frankfort Ave.

Tickets are $15, at the door.

Tulsa-area singles are invited to come enjoy the indoor campground while they mix, mingle and learn about the upcoming Take Heart Tulsa events.

“The city has many exciting activities and attractions to offer the single professional, but many singles don’t know how to seek these activities and attractions out,” said Chelsea McGuire, owner of Take Heart Tulsa.

Take Heart Tulsa provides events for single professionals "who’s main problem with dating is that they don’t have time because of their busy careers to search out fun events, activities and singles in Tulsa," according to its website. All events are planned and hosted by the Take Heart Tulsa staff and there will always be a host at every event to guide members through the event and introduce them to the other guests.

Cost of memberships will be announced at the kick-off.

Upcoming Take Heart Tulsa events include wine tastings, photography and
cooking classes, paintball, rock climbing, paint ‘n sips, horseback riding, game nights and outdoor activities.

Does anybody remember a singles group here in Tulsa in the 70s called FLYERS? - Friendly, Loving, Youthful, Engergetic, Roving Singles.
