New year, new ice cream flavor for Blue Bell

Blue Bell kicked off 2013 with the release of refreshing new ice cream flavor, Mint Cookies ‘n Cream

Mint Cookies ‘n Cream is a mint ice cream combined with mint crème-filled chocolate cookies and semi-sweet chocolate chips.

“Mint Cookies ‘n Cream is a combination of two of our top-selling flavors,” said Paul Kruse, Blue Bell CEO and president. “If your two favorite flavors are Cookies ‘n Cream and Mint Chocolate Chip, this is surely the biggest thing to happen to ice cream. We’ve combined a smooth mint ice cream with the same crunchy chocolate cookies that are in our Cookies ‘n Cream, except these are filled with a mint crème.”

Blue Bell promises several more new ice cream flavors as well as frozen snack items will be released this year.

“Each year we spend months creating and sampling possible new flavors,” Kruse said. “Last year we introduced Red Velvet Cake Ice Cream and it became an instant hit. This year we’ve got a great flavor line-up of your tried and true favorites and a few new creations you’ll love too.”

Look for Mint Cookies ‘n Cream Ice Cream in your grocer’s freezer section later this month.

I liked last years Braum's Grape Sherbet...place a scoop in a glass of Spumante' and enjoy a wine float!!!

This would be amazing in my homemade ice cream cake. I usually use mint chocolate chip in a from-scratch Oreo crust... but now I think I'll have to swap ice cream flavors once summer comes.
