Who knew favoring a celebrity could get you kicked out of a concert?

Nathan Blakenship, the Nashville, Tenn. Kenny Chesney fan who was escorted out of a Chesney concert last weekend has received an apology from the singer’s record label and concert promoter.

Apparently, Blankenship was receiving the attention the country music singer should have been getting when some fans asked to take photos with him during the “Brothers of the Sun” concert, Nashville's Fox 17 reported.

The fan claimed a security guard told him to leave because “higher-ups” said he was causing too much confusion.

In a press release, concert promoter The Messina Group said it had nothing to do with Blankenship getting kicked out and was unaware of the situation until it made the news.

Fox 17 reports Sony, Chesney’s music label, will refund Blankenship’s money for his ticket and send him a gift basket with Sony merchandise. Gift basket!!

I don't see a spot-on resemblance (shame on those fans!) but here I thought being a celebrity look-alike might earn one at least a free concession…
