Queensryche
Famed 80s Seattle-based rock act
Queensrÿche will perform a special three-hour concert
May 28 at the
Coca-Cola Bricktown Event Center in Oklahoma City.
The show will be presented in three suites, performing sets from "Rage For Order," "Empire" and their newest release, "American Soldier," set to drop March 31.
Queensrÿche envisions war through the eyes of a soldier with the band’s twelfth studio release, "American Soldier."
The ambitious album encompasses a dozen songs inspired by numerous interviews with veterans conducted by Geoff Tate, the group’s singer and chief songwriter, who was intent on telling their story using their words. After speaking with soldiers who served in various conflicts — from World War II to Iraq — Tate turned their firsthand experiences from the frontlines into an unflinching musical examination of the life of a solider and the consequences of war.
For this show, all of those in possession of a ticket and a current military photo I.D. plus a guest will be able to go to the front of the line.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the military will need to be present at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center at 5 p.m. in order to get to the front of the line.
Tickets for Queensryche show go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday by calling toll free at 1-866-966-1777, online at www.ticketstorm.com or any of the fifteen locations around Oklahoma.
