Hungry Madonna fans will get a very tasty treat when they hear Madonna's "Hard Candy" premiered exclusively on MySpace on April 25, four days before the album will be in stores.

Hard Candy, her 11th studio album for Warner Bros. Records, follows up "Confessions on a Dance Floor" CD, which debuted at No. 1 in 30 countries and sold over 8 million copies.

"Hard Candy" has been described as a yummy up-tempo collection of 12 musical delights with Madonna remaining firmly ensconced in dance floor mode with an added hip-hop beat with the help of her musical collaborators Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes and Nate "Danja" Hills. The album has received 4 star reviews both in Blender and Rolling Stone.

This is not related to this story. But I didn't know who to ask so, I'm asking you. Does the Tulsa World no longer do concert reviews? I went to the Sheryl Crow concert April 23rd at the Brady and I was looking forward to reading the review in the paper but still haven't seen it. Just wondering if I may have overlooked it or something. Anyway, if anyone wants to know she put on an amazing show! Her band and back-up singers were awesome too!

I guess I should have been a little more patient. It's Monday, April 28th and I just finshed reading the Sheryl Crow concert review. I just assumed it would have been in the paper a little sooner.

Barrelhouse Beat

Barrelhouse: A colloquialism describing the low saloons at the turn of the century (19th) that served whiskey straight out of the barrel. It's also a reference to the type of music played in those venues. Ex: Barrelhouse music.

Beat: The time or timing. Ex: The band played with a solid beat. Also used as a term describing a reporters specific area of expertise. Ex: The music beat.
