OK Mozart’s Woolaroc Outdoor Concert won’t be outdoors this year.
Monday’s heavy rains have made the area around Clyde Lake on the Woolaroc Ranch near Bartlesville unsuitable to accommodate crowds.
The concert, set for 8 p.m. Wednesday, will now be held in the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 S.E. Cherokee Ave.
The concert will be led by guest conductor JoAnn Fallatta, and will feature Kyle Turner as soloist in the Tuba Concerto by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Other music to be performed includes Rossini’s Overture to “La Gazza Ladra,” Smetana’s Three Dances from “The Bartered Bride,” Handel’s “Music for the Royal Fireworks,” Bizet’s Suite from “Carmen” and Sousa’s “Washington Post March” and “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”
In place of the picnic dinner that was to be available at Woolaroc, Outlaws Chop House will provide food and beverages from 5 p.m. until intermission in the Community Hall of the BCC. A four-course meal is available for $25 per person.
Tickets for the concert are $25 adults, $15 students; a Family Pack for two adults and two children is $75.
Tickets are available by calling (918) 336-9800, or at tulsaworld.com/okmozart.
