OU-Notre Dame, Oklahoma State-TCU: Football weather forecasts
Published: 10/26/2012 9:53 AM
Last Modified: 10/26/2012 9:53 AM

The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for all of the counties in light blue on this map. Metal bleachers at college football stadiums are especially forecast to be freezing. Map provided by the NWS

Tulsa is on bye during this freeze warning weekend. Lucky Tulsa!

Let's take our in-state home games in chronological order, shall we?

Oklahoma State hosting TCU: 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Stillwater

Yes, Stillwater is part of the Saturday morning freeze warning, and frost is expected before 10 a.m.

However, it is forecast to be sunny and up to the mid-50s by Saturday afternoon. Northeast 6 mph winds are expected to become calm in the afternoon as well.

If you're going to be spending the night in Stillwater, expect more frost by 3 a.m. Sunday morning. A mostly clear night with a low around 27 degrees is forecast.

Oklahoma hosting Notre Dame: 7 p.m. Saturday in Norman

If you accidentally clicked on this link looking for a football forecast, Guerin Emig has you covered here.

As for those interested in the weather football forecsat, Norman is also in the frost-before-10 a.m. category.

After that, Norman is also expected to have highs in the mid-50s, sunny skies and north winds around 6 mph, calming in the afternoon.

Alas, this is a night game, so the afternoon sun may be heading toward the overnight lows instead, which are expected to be in the low-30s. If the game goes exceptionally late, or if you just stay in Norman that long (traffic issues?), frost is forecast to return by 3 a.m. Sunday.

Stay warm, and have a good football weekend!
