Oklahoma State is on bye week this weekend, so forecasts for the two away games for our state teams, Tulsa and OU are here.
OU is going to Lubbock, Texas! I wonder what the forecast will be?
Just kidding, that was
last October on Texas Tech's campus. Here's the forecasts for this weekend:
OU at Texas Tech: 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Lubbock, Texas:
It is going to be cooler and possibly raining (20 percent chance). Highs in the low-50s are forecast Saturday afternoon in Lubbock.
If there's a weather delay like there was for last year's OU-Texas Tech game, you'll have lows in the mid-30s to look forward to Saturday night.
And, because this is Lubbock, you can also expect some wind: East-northeast 10-20 mph during the day, 5-15 mph on Saturday night.
Tulsa at Marshall: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Huntington, West Virginia
Forgive me for not knowing my national college and university locations, but until now, I didn't know that Marshall was in West Virginia. I could tell you that they're "The Herd," and that their fans yell "We are! Marshall!" but not much else.
Like west Texas, TU fans can look forward to... rain. Showers are likely, 70 percent chance, but mainly before 11 a.m. Saturday.
Even if the rain lets up by 2:30 p.m. kickoff, highs in the 50s are forecast with cloudy skies and 7 to 9 mph northwest winds.
If this game goes late (and it's eastern time zone over there, remember) expect winds to lighten up, the temperatures to drop into the 40s and the cloud cover to increase.
It is not weather-related, but this also happens to be Marshall's Homecoming game.
Welcome to fall. Football fall!
