OU vs. Texas A&M Cotton Bowl and NFL weekend football weather forecasts

Media bias: I hope the Packers win, as I grew up in northeast Wisconsin. However, this photo is from Feb. 6, 2011 right here in Tulsa, Okla. Ice pellets, not snow, have a chance of falling on the Packers' Saturday night matchup against the Vikings.

Welcome to another edition of our football forecasts! Since the final in-state college football game is tonight, I will supplement it with NFL wildcard weekend football forecasts.

Cotton Bowl: 7 p.m. tonight, OU versus Texas A&M at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas

During the day, a 20 percent chance of rain. Overnight, a 20 percent chance of rain. Slight as the chances may be, prepare to deal with rain outside the indoor Cowboys Stadium.

Skies with be cloudy, with a mid-40s high today, before falling to the mid-30s with mostly cloudy skies overnight.

NFL wildcard: 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Houston Texans, Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas

When I attended the Big 12 Championship game at Reliant in 2002, it took them the entire game to close to roof. So, let us assume that they may do the same for fans on Saturday.

Houston has a 30 percent chance of scattered showers Saturday, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-50s forecast.

Partly cloudy skies are forecast Saturday night in Houston, with lows in the low 40s.

7 p.m. Saturday, Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.

OK, we finally arrive at a game destination that won't be indoors! Rather than attempt to convert knots to mph, I am going to deviate for just this one forecast and use wunderground.com as my source, not the weather service (Green Bay is a port city).

A 20 percent chance of ice pellets are forecast for Saturday night in Green Bay, with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low to mid-20s. Light west winds of about 7 mph are also forecast.

Noon Sunday, Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland

After overnight temperatures in the low 30s, Sunday afternoon highs in Baltimore are forecast for the low 40s.

A 30 percent chance of snow before 1 p.m. is also forecast, then mostly sunny skies with west 6 to 8 mph winds are expected.

3:30 p.m. Sunday, Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Redskins at FedEx Field in Prince George's County, Maryland

Rain forecast for earlier in the day should be out of the area by this kickoff.

Sunny skies with highs in the mid-40s are forecast.

Overnight forecast calls for moderate northwest winds around 6 to 11 mph with partly cloudy skies, which might be seen later in the game.

Have a good football weekend!

However, she tries to find as many opportunities to report on the weather as possible.
