It's so hard for me to be serious about this kind of stuff.
But, you know, Hosty's "Linda Cavanaugh" (you OKC readers will totally laugh yer hineys off ... I love this song. I grew up watching her on Channel 4 news in Edmond.) ... the song can be heard for free on Rhapsody and Last.fm.
Also, Rufus Wainwright's "Tulsa," mainly because, well, that "fat guy" in the green t-shirt that Wainwright sings about is Garrett Weindorf of Tulsa psych-rock act Ghosts. And Wainwright sings so fondly about the girl who waited for hours in the rain just to meet him at his show here at Cain's Ballroom. That song's on Rhapsody, too.
