During last week's bad weather, when a tornado siren sounded around midnight, I was caught at a midtown QuikTrip.

Color me stupid for being slightly shocked -- not like jaw-droppingly so but shocked, nonetheless -- that actress Lindsay Lohan was charged Wednesday by NYC police with leaving the scene of an accident.
And this time, she even hit a waiter -- allegedly, of course.
CNN reported that she was driving her Porsche into a hotel parking lot and
allegedly hit an employee of a nearby restaurant, a police department spokesman said.
Lindsay just kept driving, though, then parked her car and left the dang scene a smidge after midnight. Allegedly. Police arrested her around 2:30 a.m., and she was later released on her own recognizance, the story reported.
I'm sorry, but WTF? Not to throw stones because I'm a big ol' sinner like everyone else. But seriously, Lindsay, Pumpkin, you need to stick to public transit or just walk where ya need to go. Save a waiter, take a taxi.
