Watermelon Slim returns to Tulsa for a solo show, Thursday night at Bobbisox, 8181 E. Skelly Dr.
Bill "Watermelon Slim" Homans has built a remarkable reputation with his raw, impassioned intensity.
Slim is a traveler, and has taken his blues all over the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia.
He's also performed with the late
Henry "Sunflower" Vestine of
Canned Heat,
Bonnie Raitt,
Robert Cray, the late
John Lee Hooker and in France with
Champion Jack Dupree.
For more information on tomorrow's show, call 918-663-4541 or visit

Danny J. Buck and
Josh Yarbrough also are scheduled to perform. Showtime is 8 p.m. Slim performs at 10 p.m. Cover is $5. Must be age 21 or older to enter.
Read one of my older interviews with Slim as I talked to him via phone at the
