Togetherness is the key to a successful marriage for Oklahoma's Blake Shelton and his bride of 18 months Miranda Lambert. They talk about it in this week's People magazine.

"We won't go more than two weeks without seeing each other," says Lambert, 28, in the magazine's latest issue. The couple lives on a ranch near Tishomingo and a rented home in Hollywood where Shelton is working on NBC's hit series "The Voice."

Spending too much time together can also have repercussions,” Shelton told the magazine which comes out Friday.

"We'll kill each other!" says Shelton, 36, in the article.

Fans will see both country stars Thursday. They have been nominated for four Country Music Association Awards which will be presented during the televised awards show live 7-10 p.m. on ABC, channel 8.

Next up: Lambert and her Pistol Annies are working on a new album and Shelton has a new holiday album coming out and the TV special "Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas," airing Dec. 3 on NBC, according to the website.

With Lambert touring and Shelton taping the TV show, the couple has spent only 150 days together since they married in May 2011, according to the website.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
