Emily Schuermann's Tangy Asian Chicken and Coleslaw Rolls.

This morning I talked to Emily Schuermann. She's the only Oklahoma contestant in this year's Pillsbury Bake-Off.

Emily is a great person, a mom with four children, who submitted a recipe designed for busy households. She submitted it without much thought, changing just one ingredient to a recipe she makes for her family all the time. That's the neat thing about Emily's recipe. So many times people devise recipes they believe have a chance of winning. These aren't actually recipes they would normally eat, mind you, just recipes they've created for the contest. But not Emily's.

Now this dinner she often makes for her family could win her $1 million in April. Her kids asked if they could have any money if she wins, and she told them she would give them $1,000 each. Her kids will certainly be pulling for her, but so will cooks all over Oklahoma.

Look for a story in next week's Tulsa World about Emily and her recipe for Tangy Asian Chicken and Coleslaw Rolls. We will be following her as she prepares for the Bake-Off.
