What's the most embarrassing thing ...

As I confessed in my Tuesday column, I'm a clumsy hooker.

But I'm also nosy, as I want to hear about YOUR most embarrassing ...

Is it really vandalism when it's a sticker with the words "nipple clamps"?

Aside from enjoying humorous ones spied on others' automobiles, I'm not a fan of bumper stickers.

I blame my father, ...

Where is the oddest place you've ever taken cover during bad weather?

During last week's bad weather, when a tornado siren sounded around midnight, I was caught at a midtown QuikTrip.

The Tulsa SPCA rescued 13 Shih Tzus, including some puppies, and additional animals from a backyard puppy breeding mill west of Skiatook in January.

No, I'm not talking about your uncle with all the chest hair and gold chains.

I'm referring to our littlest furry loved ones -- the dogs, cats and other animals that are mistreated. I talked about it in my Tuesday column. Mostly, I railed about how people who abuse animals should have the same thing done to them, using the words "tar" and "feather" on more than one occasion.

But an animal-loving reader brought up a fantastic point: I hadn't alluded to organizations where people can find out more about helping animals in need. One such organization is the Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA), which you can visit at tulsaworld.com/tspca.

As the Web site states, there are many ways the TSPCA works to enhance our community's quality of life for people and pets. Some of those include:

-- Providing care, nurturing, medical attention to hundreds of unwanted animals each year, and offering them a second chance through adoption.

-- Matching and adopting homeless pets into new families.

-- Investigating hundreds of reports every year of animal cruelty and assisting law enforcement with prosecution.

-- Educating adults and children about pet guardianship and wellbeing, promoting humane treatment of animals, and the importance of spaying and neutering.

-- Providing a low-cost vaccination and diagnostic testing service for the public.

-- Bringing pet love to residents in nursing homes through our Pets Are Love program.

-- Speaking for the animals on important humane issues.

You can also find cute little critters in the Adoptable Pets Gallery, as well as heaps of other extremely useful info.

If you'd like to tell folks about other sources of info and help for animals, please, please tell us about in the comments below. Thank you!

Peace, love and ... More peace and love, I reckon ... xoxo
