I was sad to see that Bruner's Old Time Meat Market had closed its shop at 81st Street and Sheridan Road after 42 years in business. Lois and Bud Bruner opened the original store on 51st Street in 1969.
As a replacement, it was good to see another established Tulsa business, Perry's Food Store, take over the Bruner's spot. Perry's will continue to operate its larger store at 1005 S. Lewis Ave.
I'm told the Sheridan Road store is carrying meats, sandwiches and a few other items, and prices will be the same at both stores. After Perry's gets settled in, I will go out and take a closer look at what it has to offer.
