For the record, the National Weather Service reported that St. Louis received 0.27 of an inch of rain Wednesday, while Detroit received 0.23 of an inch Wednesday.

However, Detroit is still getting periodic rain today, with 0.14 of an inch recorded since midnight at the Detroit City Airport.

From the Associated Press (for the Detroit/New York game):
"The first pitch Wednesday night was slated for 8:07 p.m. But shortly before the scheduled start, the crowd was informed of a delay. A radar forecast for the Detroit area was eventually posted on the scoreboard video screen, as if to explain to fans why there was no baseball despite what was still pleasant weather at the ballpark.

"The postponed was announced after a delay of 70 minutes."

The St. Louis rain delay lasted about 3.5 hours, the Associated Press reports.
