Foundations restaurant at Platt College Culinary Institute, 3801 S. Sheridan Road, has scheduled a wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday under the direction of chefs Curt Herrmann and Timothy Fitzgerald.
The five-course dinner will feature Loire Valley wines, including Salvard Cheverny sauvignon blanc paired with onion tart, fresh ham, smoked fish and more; Muscadet Sevre-et Maine paired with one hot and one cold oyster, Eric Chevalier pinot noir rosé with charcuterie plate and salad, Bourgeuil-Chinon cabernet franc with spring lamb and root vegetables, and Champalou Vouvray brut with three goat cheeses.
