As the election grows closer, the political rhetoric can be increasingly hard to swallow.

So, how about some food with your politics?

A new nationwide survey of 2,094 people reveals which presidential candidate Americans would most like to have a hamburger with. The survey was recently conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Smashburger.

The survey found the following:

- Nearly 3 in 5, or 59 percent, of U.S. adults would most like to eat a hamburger with President Barack Obama.

- Two in five, or 41 percent, want to grab a burger with Governor Mitt Romney.

- The survey also found that Bill Clinton is the former U.S. President Americans would most want to have a hamburger with at 22 percent.

- Other past presidents who Americans want to eat a burger with include Abraham Lincoln, 15 percent, John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, 14 percent, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Theodore Roosevelt, five percent, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, four percent.

So, who would you like to grab a burger with?

Having a burger with Clinton or Obama would be great. I would not enjoy being anywhere near Romney.

In another survey with President Clinton and Senator Kennedy, Obama was found to be the candidate best suited to carry their luggage.
