Preview of a review: "Man From Nebraska"

The full review of "Man From Nebraska," the Tracy Letts play that Theatre Pops is presenting, will appear in Saturday's Tulsa World.

Here's an excerpt:

Think of Tracy Letts’ “Man From Nebraska,” which Theatre Pops opened Thursday at the Tulsa PAC, as a work of music.
The play is divided into two acts and 29 scenes, but the printed script divides the action further into seven “movements” that coincide with the turning points that confront the title character, played by Randy Whalen.
And, much as a piece of music might seem to wander in random ways only to conclude in the same key from whence it started, “Man From Nebraska” takes a somewhat circular narrative path. But the journey it takes its characters and audience on is at once transformative and mysterious.

Performances are 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. for tickets: 918-596-7111 or tulsaworld.com/mytix
