Tulsa punk outfit Broncho releases its debut LP, "Can’t Get Past the Lips" on vinyl today through CQ Records and Guestroom Records.

Bug Digital will release the album digitally on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and digital stores worldwide, said the band's PR agent, Tresa Redburn, in a media statement.

Broncho has won early praise for its wild, take-no-prisoners live performances and its studio debut is an appropriately aggressive companion.

Harkening back to punk rock’s glory days of the 70s, "Lips" captures the aggression, D.I.Y. authenticity and youthful exhilaration of a bygone era and then drags it by the hair into the Here and Now.

With echoes of The Replacements, Iggy & the Stooges and The Ramones, it features Ben King’s gritty, crunching guitar work supported by an assaultive rhythm section (Johnathon Ford on bass, Nathan Price on drums) and made whole by frontman Ryan Lindsey’s yelping vocals that morph moment-to-moment from sardonic to vicious, humorous to pleading.

Guestroom distributes through Matador Records; AEC and Midheaven/Revolver. "Can’t Get Past the Lips" will be available in record stores across the country. It's also available in Tulsa for $16 at Dwelling Spaces, 119 S. Detroit Ave.
