Rain brings the allergies

We had some pretty fantastic rainfall
last week
, as I'm sure you noticed as you danced in it.
Your yard, once dead and brown and crunchy, has a little shade of green in it now. The trees are a little more perky and those weeds are rejuvenated.
Well, while the heat and drought was nice for allergy sufferers, the rain brought on some blooms.
According to the Weather Channel's pollen count and forecast, this week is going to be
pretty rough
.
Weed allergens are in the "very high" range for the next two days before dropping off to only the high range later in the week. Tree and grass are showing no activity.
And looking at the past
30 days
, you can see those allergen counts creeping up since about the end of July.
As I mentioned in my last
allergy post
, I am largely unaffected by the outdoors. But I sure can sympathize with those who are.
--Jerry Wofford
Check out this week's forecast at
www.tulsaworld.com/weather
. More slight chances of rain is in the forecast, with temperatures in the upper 90s to possibly 100. More rain could tamp that pollen before leading to more blooms.

However, she tries to find as many opportunities to report on the weather as possible.
