Ready, set, FILM! 24 Hour Video Race Friday

Living Arts of Tulsa will host the eighth annual 24-Hour Video Race, a creative competition that gives local film makers the chance to conceive, script, film, edit and delivery a finished short film all in the space of a single day.

The race officially begins at 12 midnight Friday at Living Arts of Tulsa, 307 E. Brady St., at which time participants will be given the three elements that must be included in their films -- a theme, a prop and a line of dialogue.

Finished videos, which can run no longer than 5 minutes, must be turned in by 12 midnight Saturday at Living Arts or at the Individual Artists of Oklahoma Gallery, 706 W. Sheridan Ave., in downtown Oklahoma City.

Entries will be judged at a screening Feb. 21 at Philbrook Museum of Art. The video named the Judges' Choice will earn a $300 cash prize, with winners in other categories will earn prizes of $175 each.

Entry fee is $35 before Friday. On Friday, the fee will be $40.
