I've been whining all week about the end of my favorite reality show: "Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes."
It's all over but the crying.
But that show was genuinely interesting to me - not just about fights and gossip (aka, anything with a Kardashian or Jersey in the title). I watch that stuff too, I'm no hypocrite.
And today comes the news that TLC's
"Kate Plus 8" got the axe. Kate and Jon Gosselin are the prime example of reality run amok. They were a typical family -- albeit a large one -- whose lives were completely changed by a TV show, and now there's no turning back. What work will they get now?
And I hate to say it, but bets are already being made on which "Jersey Shore" star will go to "Celebrity Rehab" first. The clock is ticking.
While it's fun to watch sometimes, reality TV seems to be peaking -- or is it? These shows are cheap, easy to make and addictive. Will they ever end? I'm sure you've asked the very same question.
