Surprise. Reality TV isn’t all that real.
At least not on the set of MTV’s former hit series “The Hills,” according to television personality Kristin Cavallari.
The reality star was a guest on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Bravo last night and openly admitted “The Hills” was “pretty fake,” reported usweekly.com Tuesday.
She told Cohen during his “Plead the Fifth” segment that during her two seasons on the show, which aired 2006-2010, she was “pretty much” told what to say and had a series of “fake relationships” and “fake fights.”
“But it was fun because you’re acting,” she said. “It was more fun for me.”
Asked if she regretted dating any cast member, she answered “no one,” not even Justin “Bobby” Brescia, who also dated her co-star Audrina Patridge.
“I would say Justin, but I never really dated him,” said the 25-year-old new mom and fiancée of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.
“I think I made out with him once and that took a lot of convincing. Finally I was like, ‘All right, I’ll just do it!’”
Choen also asked if her obvious dislike of former “Hills” star and fashion designer Lauren Conrad was scripted.
“No,” she said, laughing and then went on to clarify.
“I feel like (producers) put things in our heads,” explained Cavallari, who is mother of 3½-month old Camden.
“I mean, we were 17 and 18. They made it a lot worse than it was.”
