Reasons why the wedding is such a big deal

Some of y'all have been, like, "WHO CARES!" about the wedding.

But Cary brought up a good point, having seen a post on Twitter. Basically, the Tweet pointed out how people were carrying on and on about March Madness -- and non-sports-speakers like me were, "Huh?" Same thing here.

Other than it being a pretty spectacle to look at, I think the wedding is such a must-watch event because NOTHING in America will come close. We have no royalty, just airbrushed celebrities and celebutantes. You won't see people crowding Times Square waving American flags and screaming for the Obamas' kids when they get hitched.

Why did you watch it?

Peace, love and airbrushing ... XOXO

Nope, you're wrong. It's simply another form of hero worship. This, March madness, etc. are for people who don't have a life.

I was not really following the wedding, but too each is own and I disagree with you, innocent bystander, some people enjoy sports, some people enjoy the royal family, I don't particularly get excited by either but I don't have the the right to tell say to someone "you're wrong" just because I don't agree. Some people need heroes although admittedly, some heroes are better then others, if we didn't have someone who we looked up to, what would we aspire to do or be? We wouldn't we would all just sit in a rut not ever growing or changing if that is the life you want be my guest, but don't dump on someone else who has a passion, some interests, admires someone, or the Gods forbid has a goal or a dream!

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
