A number of local restaurants are paying tribute to active and retired military personnel by offering promotions for Veterans Day.

Those who take advantage of free meals or free menu items in almost all cases must be dine-in customers and be in uniform or show valid military credentials.

Twin Peaks, 7007 S. Memorial Drive, is offering free meals Sunday and Monday. Qualified participants may order any item off the lunch or dinner menu.

Tulsa-based Arby's restaurants will be giving out free classic roast beef sandwiches all day Monday.

Tulsa-based Rib Crib restaurants are offering a free sandwich for veterans Sunday and Monday.

Area Top That! Pizza locations will give away one 10-inch pizza Monday.

Red Lobster, 4525 E. 51st St. and 6728 S. Memorial Drive, is offering one free appetizer Sunday.

Participants can receive a free lunch Monday at T.G.I. Friday's, 5369 E. 41st St. and 8221 E. 61st St.

Olive Garden, 1954 Utica Square and 7019 S. Memorial Drive, is offering one of six entrees with soup, salad and bread sticks Sunday.

Logan's Roadhouse, 9026 E. 71st St., will donate 25 percent of its sales Sunday to programs that support service men and women.

HuHot Mongolian Grill, 6746 S. Memorial Drive, has a daily discount of 10 percent to military personnel.

This is a sampling of what is available in the Tulsa area. Call your favorite restaurant to see if it is doing something special for Veterans Day.
