Rex's Chicken adds mashed potatoes and gravy

That's what I thought, too, when I saw the headline on the press release. So what Rex's Chicken added mashed potatoes and gravy?

But it seemed to be a big enough deal to the folks at Beautiful Brands to put out a full-page release on the subject. (It's a good thing, I guess, I'm not in the PR business because there is no way I could write a full page on adding mashed potatoes to a menu. Heck, I'm struggling to get four paragraphs out of this blog.)

Anyway, I guess the recipe is for the original Rex-style mashed potatoes and gravy, and Beautiful Brands CEO David Rutkauskas calls it "truly amazing and overwhelming."

Rex's Chicken restaurants were founded in Oklahoma in 1951 but disappeared earlier this decade. Beautiful Brands revived the restaurant in 2008. It's located at 11089 S. Memorial Drive.

I'm so happy Rex's is back. I went there recently. I loved it. And now that I think of it I loved the mashed potatoes too. I'm going back again. Thank you for passing that along!!!
