In 1984, Ronald Reagan proclaimed July 15 as "National Ice Cream Day."

The proclamation recognized ice cream as “a nutritious and wholesome food, enjoyed by more than 90 percent of the people in the United States.”

Very interesting. I would love to know more about this scientific ice cream survey.

Nonetheless, the Oklahoma based company, SONIC, wants you to come celebrate National Ice Cream Day at their drive-ins.

This summer, SONIC is offering half-price Real Ice Cream shakes every day after 8 p.m.
