"Room for 'Doubt'" -- An evening with John Patrick Shanley

John Patrick Shanley, author of the multi-award winning play "Doubt: A Parable" and winner of the Academy Award for his screenplay "Moonstruck," will be at the University of Tulsa Feb. 17 to reading from and talk about his work.

The evening will include a question-and-answer session, and a book signing.

Shanley won the Tony Award, the Pultizer Prize, the Drama Desk, the Drama Critics Circle and the Obie Award for "Doubt," about the conflict between a charismatic young priest and a rigidly conservative nun who accuses him of misconduct.

Shanley also directed the film version, starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It earned five Oscar nominations -- for the four leading actors and for Shanley's screenplay.
