The reopening of the remodeled Russell Stover Candies store in Utica Square will coincide with the store moving into its 50th year in the midtown shopping center.
The Tulsa Chamber of Commerce will be at the store Wednesday, 49 years to the day of the original store opening, at a 10 a.m. reopening ceremony Wednesday.
"As the store enters its monumental 50th year, we wanted to celebrate by fully revamping the store to have the same fresh, new look currently being implemented in our newer stores," said Angela Ellsworth, vice president of store operations.
Delicacies in the store include chocolate-dipped strawberries, fresh-baked cookies, gourmet cupcakes, hand-dipped caramel apples and 18 flavors of Blue Bell ice cream.
In addition to the Russell Stover brand of candies, the store also will carry Whitman's Sampler Chocolates and Pangburn's Millionaires.
