Ryan Seacrest, host of "American Idol," has signed a deal with the show worth an estimated $30 million over the next two years.
As expected, Seacrest, who has been with "Idol" for 11 seasons, has re-upped his contract to continue as the show's host for two more seasons.
He is also said to be working on an overall deal with NBCUniversal which announced recently that Seacrest would be assisting with the network's coverage of the summer Olympics in London. A deal that reportedly does not include major primetime hosting duties, according to deadline.com.
Fox network has issued the following statement.
"Emmy Award-nominated Ryan Seacrest will continue as host of 'American Idol,' broadcast television's No. 1 show. Seacrest has served as host of 'American idol' since its debut on June 11, 2002.

Seacrest has introduced every guest performer, played referee with the judges and was the first to announce and congratulate each of the winners."
"For the last 11 seasons, I've had the privilege to be a part of one of television's most iconic shows. It's been a wild ride, and I'm excited for my journey with 'American Idol' to continue," Seacrest said.
