Love, love, LOVE No Doubt's new single, "Settle Down."
It seems like it's been a while since we've heard from the band's gorgeous platinum-locked frontwoman, Gwen Stefani, at least outside of those makeup commercials and her successful L.A.M.B. collection.
Now that No Doubt's back on the charts, Ms. Gwen's back on magazine covers, including September's issue of Harper's Bazaar, which is the largest issue in the magazine's 145-year history, with 375 ad pages.
"I've always been a girl who loves to dress up," Gwen tells Harper's -- and she proves it on the cover, where she wears a Jil Sander gown and hat by Alexis Mabille Couture. Inside, she showcases looks by Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, the Row, Versace and more.
In her interview, she opens up about her style, staying fit, balancing career and motherhood, and more.
On staying fit: "I hate talking about my body (all the time); it's ridiculous," she said, referring to the number of times someone has asked how to get her six-pack abs. "There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out and torture yourself!"
On motherhood: "It's superfun being a mom, but it's hard too. Finding that balance between work and family is the hardest thing I've ever done, by far."
On fame and gossip: "That someone would say something untrue or bad about me doesn't bother me. It's like water off a duck's back." This attitude applies to everything from best-dressed lists to rumors that her marriage is falling apart. "None of that stuff matters. There's something in me, being this passive person, that those kinds of things don't upset me. I know they can say anything; they can just make something up. But what are you going to do? It's not part of my reality, so it's okay." Amen, Sister.
Harper's Bazaar's September issue hits newsstands Aug. 21. In the mean time, you can see her interview, as well as behind-the-scenes videos of the fashion shoot, by clicking

And in the mean time, if you haven't seen it, check out the video for No Doubt's "Settle Down," which is their newest single off their upcoming comeback "Push and Shove" album, due Sept. 25.
Peace, love and being "hella positive" ... XOXO

Living Wright
While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
