STYLE: "Mommy porn" basis for luxury label's steamy photo shoot

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is already having an impact on fashion; now, it's affecting fashion shoots.

As reported by the "lords" of Fly & Mighty, luxury label Andrew Marc used the popular and steamy "suburban mommy porn" (sorry, it's what my friends call it) book "Fifty Shades of Grey" as the inspiration for their new ad campaign.

Photographed by Chris Gbur, who's Andrew Marc's creative director, the ad features 2008 Miss Universe winner Dayana Mendoza as Anatasia Steele (in an unzipped dress, no less) and former Scottish rugby player Thom Evans as Christian Grey (in a towel -- much less).

The ads will run in the September and October issues of Glamour and People Style Watch, so check your favorite bookstand by Labor Day.

Peace, love and happy towels ... XOXO

I never quite understood the whole "I think I threw up in my mouth a little." thing.

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
