SUMMER SIPS: Chillaxed Cherry Limeade

Limes are lovely when "aded" by cherry vodka. Sorry, it's Friday, my brain is tapped like the first keg of the night at a frat party.
One of my favorite summer treats is the Sonic Cherry Limeade.
That popular concoction is the inspiration for my final SUMMER SIPS recipe this week, an adulterated cherry limeade.
A couple years ago, I went to my friend Adorn's house on a Saturday morning to wait for Banshee and Mr. Clean to pick us up and go to the lake. Before they arrived, we made a pitcher of limeade to share on the boat that day.
Chillaxed Cherry Limeade
Serves 2 (repeatedly throughout the day)
1 can frozen limeade
2 liter Sprite, 7Up or Sierra Mist, whatever you prefer
1 liter cherry vodka
Splash of grenadine
1. Mix frozen limeade and lemon-lime soda -- carefully. I vaguely recall there being a near bubble-over. But it was two years ago, whatever.
2. Anyway, after the limeade is mixed, add the vodka, then splash of grenadine for color.
3. Store in 2 2-liter containers with lids, and put in ice chest.
NOTE: You can be all fancy and stuff, and use fresh-squeezed limes or cut a few into slices to put in the drink.
Peace, love and chillax ... XOXO

I like the "Serves 2 (repeatedly throughout the day)". :-)

Living Wright
While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
