As I confessed in my Tuesday column, I'm a clumsy hooker.
But I'm also nosy, as I want to hear about YOUR most embarrassing ...
Aside from enjoying humorous ones spied on others' automobiles, I'm not a fan of bumper stickers.
I blame my father, ...
During last week's bad weather, when a tornado siren sounded around midnight, I was caught at a midtown QuikTrip.
As ...

I like to serve my Naughty, Naughty Banana Monkey in a trifle dish. Try to ignore the vanilla wafers and pretend it's not really pudding that you see. Or don't pretend, whatever.
I don't care what my calendar says for June 20, summer officially begins Memorial Day weekend.
But my mind is already in summer mode, from weekends hanging at the lake to, hopefully, ingratiating myself upon friends who have pools. You know who you are, so stop avoiding my texts.
To celebrate our impending summer, I thought it would be fun to throw out a week's worth of poolside potables -- i.e., pool-worthy drinks -- from my summer memory bank.
First up is a version of the Naughty Monkey or Dirty Monkey, which I found at two separate resorts in Mexico on two different trips. It's basically banana puree, Kahlua and rum.
But here's my version, which is a smidgen dirtier.
Naughty, Naughty Banana Monkey
Serves 2 (ha)1 banana, chopped
1 ounce dark rum
1 ounce Kahlua or your favorite coffee-flavored liqueur
1 more ounce of dark rum
1/2 cup fat-free milk (
gotta watch the waistline, after all)
1 cup ice
1. Combine all of the above in a blender and blend to your heart's content -- ideally, until the ice isn't chunky. Then again, you could call it a Chunky Naughty Banana Monkey.
Peace, love and drinks named after primates ... XOXO
