If you're looking for a girls' night out that skips the cosmos and pedicures, here's a fun one.

Beer4Chicks, started by Meg Nelson and Leah Eller, is a toast to ladies who like beer. No one has to feel bashful about holding a stein over a stem at these beer-tasting events.

Once a month, organizers announce the location and theme of the gathering. For November, it's a nod to local brewery Mustang Brewing Co.'s newest seasonal beer, Winter Lager.

It all goes down at Brady Tavern, where Chef Grant Vespasian is working on a menu including braised short ribs with stone ground white cheddar grits.

An RSVP is required for these evenings of great beers and good food, so go ahead and save the date: Nov. 15.

Beer4Chicks
When: 6 p.m. Nov. 15
Where: Brady Tavern, 201 N. Main St.
