Hayden Panettiere's 'Nashville' character gets sassy with "Good Morning America's" Robin Roberts on tonight's episode of the ABC drama.
On "Nashville," Panettiere stars as wickedly talented upcoming country artist Juliette Barnes who is determined to steal the thunder (and that's not all) of legendary country artist Rayna James (Connie Britton).
She’s a sexy young singer with a troubled past and an attitude to match.
On tonight's episode, her character keeps up her reputation as every publicist's nightmare when she goes on a morning TV show to improve her image and ends up sassing "Good Morning America's" Robin Roberts, reports etonline.
The country star stuns Roberts by denying that she shoplifted nail polish and blames her failure to pay for the item on the paparazzi (actually teenagers who captured the video on a cell phone) who intentionally distracted her, according to the video.
"Actually, there's a very simple explanation for it," Barnes says in the clip. "Everybody wants to be young and famous and rich and I am, and people are very jealous."
Roberts' filmed her cameo for "Nashville" before she left "GMA" in August to begin treatment for a rare blood disorder. She underwent a bone-marrow transplant in September and plans to return to the ABC morning show as soon as she has regained her strength.
Here's a preview of the episode airing at 9 p.m. Wednesday on ABC, channel 8.
