Second-day leftovers from Wild Fork still pretty tasty

Just the other day my wife had lunch with a granddaughter just before she (the granddaughter) left for her second semester at the University of Mississippi.

They both ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and my wife, bless her heart, brought home half of her sandwich for me to take for lunch the next day.

Although the toasted flatbread and the lettuce had lost a bit of freshness, as well it should, it still was a great sandwich. This one has been on the Wild Fork menu for a long time. In addition to grilled chicken, it has onions, mozzarella cheese, lettuce and tomato lathered with a creamy herb vinaigrette.

It was something I probably wouldn't have ordered for myself but was glad I had the opportunity to try it.

If you haven't been to Wild Fork, try the Southern catfish and hush puppy salad. It's killer.
