A great cook and Tulsa World reader Waynel Green told me a story that I have to share.
Waynel and her husband went to Bixby last weekend to pick up some vegetables and some farm-fresh eggs. She inspected her eggs, making sure each one was perfect.
Once home, as she was bringing the groceries into the house, she dropped the bag with those precious eggs. Just like that, all 12 were cracked.
Instead of whining, griping and complaining as some of us (READ: I) would have done, she turned to her husband and said, "So, what kind of pie do you want?"
What a smart cookie. So Waynel enjoyed those eggs anyway, in two delicious coconut pies.
