I aspire to be these fans: Some fans make their way to Lambeau Field before an NFL football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions Sunday in Green Bay, Wis. JEFFREY PHELPS/AP Photo

With all of the talk of snow in Oklahoma lately (read my earlier forecast report here), I thought I would share a few snow photos from last night's NFL game: The Detroit Lions at the Green Bay Packers.

Full disclosure: I am a lifelong Packer fan who grew up in rural northeast Wisconsin. I own and wear a cheesehead (it escapes the closet on Halloween). I cheered when the snowfall caused the football to slip out of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's hands and a Packers player ran it back for a touchdown.

And now that I got any appearance of unbiased media person out of the way, some weather background so that this isn't just a fan-type entry:

According to the National Weather Service, Green Bay got 3.7 inches of snow on Sunday.

Temperatures on Sunday in Green Bay are actually similar to what we got today: High of 34, low of 26. As I write this around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tulsa's reached a high of 36 degrees today, but was about 22 degrees this morning.

And now, your snow photos:

Why does Aaron's helmet look like it belongs to someone else? Does it look ill-fitting or is that an optical illusion?

Staff Writer Althea Peterson started writing for the Tulsa World in March 2007 after previous stops at the Norman Transcript in 2006 and the Oklahoma Gazette in 2005. She followed her older brother from rural Wisconsin (with a public school that never seemed to call snow days) to the University of Oklahoma, but did not follow his pursuit to study meteorology. However, she tries to find as many opportunities to report on the weather as possible.
