With the new Star Trek movie by J.J. Abrams revitalizing the franchise, we're seeing a fresh wind of product releases from toy and game companies eager to jump on the new warp train.

Most recently, Bandai Games has been releasing information and screencaps on their latest installment of Star Trek games of the same name as the franchise.

The game is based on the new movie universe, with Kirk and Spock as the stars. The game is set for wide release, for PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and more. No matter what kind of gamer you are, there will be a version of this game for you.

The game has been named the most anticipated in 2013, and will be voiced by the cast of the new movies (Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and John Cho.)

Even more exciting is the inclusion of a classic Star Trek favorite: the Gorn.

The game takes place on New Vulcan, a colony for the 10,000 remaining Vulcans after the destruction of their homeworld in the first Star Trek movie. Somehow the Gorn attack, and I can only assumed this is because New Vulcan is close to Gorn space. In the original series, the Gorn began knocking off Federation colonies, which led the Enterprise on a chase with them, only for both of the ships to be caught in the Hunger Games of the Metrons, who dressed like they were from the Capitol.

I'm sure we'll see a lot of amazing things in this game, and it looks as if Bandai has pulled all the stops in giving us a well though-out story and gameplay.

The game is set to release on April 23rd of this year.
