Shortly after posting this morning's story about little
Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson hitting the web to sell autographed boxes of Girl Scout cookies
plus shipping, returning to the announcement offered no results.
Now, according to
TMZ, it's because the Girl Scouts were just not having it and had the ad pulled.
"A rep for GSUSA in Georgia tells TMZ ... they contacted her site's administrator and explained online selling is off-limits, because it defeats the whole purpose of selling the cookies -- to teach girls all sorts of things, including goal setting, people skills, etc.," TMZ reports.
Honey Boo Boo's Facebook fan page has at least 701,000 likes and an audience of who knows how many at this point, no Girl Scout selling cookies offline could compete with that.
